About Value Georgia

About Value Georgia

On February 2nd, 2011, leading Asian American chambers of commerce, civic and social services organizations came together out of concern that certain proposed legislation targeting immigrants would result in wasteful government spending and a worsening of our economy, jobs and public safety.

Thirty organizations signed a joint press release which included a statement of 5 core values to help guide and encourage a more business-focused, pragmatic dialogue on the topic of immigration.

These values -- inspired in part by other moderate, business-led efforts -- also move beyond the specific issue of immigration and unite us on the underlying values of a strong economy, family unity, public safety, a respect for the rule of law and our faith values.

We encourage every individual to sign Value Georgia.  We also encourage other business chambers, corporations, faith-based leaders, student groups and non-profit organizations to join us in celebrating these shared values.  Please contact helen@aalegal.org to add your organization's name to our Group List.
